What are Dream Manipulation’s moves in Slayers 2?
Dream Manipulation has five moves bound to Z, X, C, V and B: Melodic Whisper, Ordained Flesh, Piercing Flesh, Flesh Barrage and Flesh Monster. Four to five independent outlets, including BloxInformer, games.gg, GrindNStrat, Roonby and GameGeekFusion, list that exact set of names on 2026-09-23, so the kit itself is the most settled part of this art.
| Key | Move | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Z | Melodic Whisper | The whisper splits into three drifting projectiles that travel toward the target. Every hit deals damage and applies a slow. Fired at close range it applies sleep instead. |
| X | Ordained Flesh | Plants a living flesh growth at the chosen point that keeps firing very thin flesh lines toward your cursor. Some sources call this move Flesh Placement. |
| C | Piercing Flesh | A flesh tentacle bursts out of the ground at your cursor, wraps whatever it catches and crushes it in one short squeeze. |
| V | Flesh Barrage | Every dream resonance burst releases a cluster of flesh tendrils that run a rapid multi-hit combo through the area. |
| B | Flesh Monster | Summons a giant flesh monster that cycles a three-part combo and deals area damage to everything it reaches. This one is the ultimate. |
There is no developer keybind chart to check any of this against. Ouw Productions publishes showcase videos rather than written documentation, and the official Dream Manipulation showcase never labels Z, X, C, V or B on screen. What the table records is the community reconstruction several outlets arrived at independently, which is why it belongs here as a cross-checked record rather than as patch notes. If a name ever reads differently inside your own Skill Tree, the Skill Tree is right and this table is wrong.
One aggregator disagrees with all of it. slayers2wiki.com gives Dream a three-move kit under the names Whispered Sleep, Dream Tendrils and Nightmare Bind, sharing zero names with the five-move set above. The same site gives most other demon arts three or four moves as well, and its own pages describe the values as community-reported. Our research ledger treats that version as unusable, and it appears here only so you know where the three-move claim comes from when you meet it elsewhere.
How does Melodic Whisper decide between a slow and a sleep?
Melodic Whisper is your Z, and distance decides which payload you get. Fired from range, its three drifting projectiles stack a slow on every hit. Fired at close range, the same move applies sleep instead. games.gg, GrindNStrat and Roonby all describe that split, so treat the two modes as settled.
That single button therefore does two jobs, and the range bands barely overlap. Walking in and pressing Z turns the move into a sleep attempt, which is the way to open on a duel opponent or to freeze a patrolling mob before you commit to anything else. Standing back and pressing Z turns it into a slow, which is the safer way to test what is in a room and to catch whoever tries to leave it.
Community reporting since V0.98 says the projectiles now home in on targets, which makes them land on moving players more often than they used to. That claim comes from two unrelated sites and from no patch note, so it is community consensus rather than a confirmed change. The same caution applies to sleep itself: its duration and the guaranteed follow-up are still being assessed, so a sleeping target is an opening rather than a promise that you can empty the rest of the kit into it.
How do Ordained Flesh, Piercing Flesh and Flesh Barrage set up a fight?
X, C and V are the setup half of the kit. Ordained Flesh plants a living growth that keeps firing flesh lines toward your cursor, Piercing Flesh erupts a tentacle that binds and crushes, and Flesh Barrage floods an area with tendrils on every dream resonance burst. Together they cover ground rather than burst one target down.
All three are placed rather than chased, and that is the entire idea. Ordained Flesh is the patient one: you drop the growth where the fight is going rather than where it is, and because it keeps firing toward your cursor, moving your mouse re-aims it. Piercing Flesh is the punish, erupting from the ground at the cursor, wrapping what it touches and squeezing once. Flesh Barrage is the area filler that turns a resonance burst into a wall of tendrils.
Used together they let you own a patch of ground before anyone stands on it. Drop Ordained Flesh along a lane a mob patrols, wait for it to walk in, then press C on top of it. Against groups, Flesh Barrage covers the cluster while Flesh Monster handles the wide damage. The trade this creates is worth naming: because everything is cursor-placed, a misjudged read does not simply miss, it uses up the move you needed for the next opening.
What does Flesh Monster do in a real fight?
Flesh Monster is the B ultimate. It summons a giant flesh monster that walks through a repeating three-part combo and deals area damage to everything it reaches. AllThings. How’s Reset Evil Art article names Flesh Monster as Dream’s ultimate, and the four outlet kits carry the same name, so this is not a disputed detail.
Because it is pure area damage, it is the button that decides whether you are farming a pack or fighting one person. In a solo dungeon it clears the trash around you while the placed flesh works on the priority target. In a duel it behaves more like a zoning tool: the monster occupies space and forces a reaction, and that reaction is what your Ordained Flesh and Piercing Flesh are already positioned to punish.
No damage figure, cooldown figure or frame data for Flesh Monster exists in any source we could reach, and this page does not invent them. Judge it by what it covers, not by a number.
Where does Dream Manipulation rank on Slayers 2 tier lists?
Dream Manipulation sits in A tier almost everywhere. Every list we scraped on 2026-09-23 except TechWiser’s puts it in A, and TechWiser alone places it at B. A separate table republished inside AllThings. How’s V0.98 balance article puts Dream at S, so A is the consensus and S is the outlier at the top.
| Source | Tier | Scraped | Stated angle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beebom | A | 2026-09-23 | One of the strongest farming-focused arts: stuns, barrages, sleep, area attacks, Flesh Monster |
| ProGameGuides | A | 2026-09-23 | Placed in A with Blood Manipulation, Pyrokinesis and Obi Manipulation (full text not retrievable) |
| Destructoid | A | 2026-09-23 | Great for PvP, a bit less powerful for PvE |
| AllThings. How | A | 2026-09-23 | A in both the blood demon art tier list and the overall tier list, filed under PvP combos |
| games.gg | A | 2026-09-23 | A control specialist that rewards anticipating where an opponent will move |
| GrindNStrat | A | 2026-09-23 | A Tier, very good demon arts |
| Roonby | A | 2026-09-23 | A Tier alongside Shockwave and Reaper |
| TechWiser | B | 2026-09-23 | The only outlet that places Dream below A |
| UrGameTips | A | 2026-09-23 | A tier |
| GameGeekFusion | A | 2026-09-23 | A, with homing ranged orbs improving its opening pressure |
| slayers2-game.wiki | A | 2026-09-23 | PvP setup and zoning, high |
| slayers2roblox.wiki | A | 2026-09-23 | PvP-style duels (this site’s numbers are not treated as usable) |
| slayers2wiki.com aggregate | A | 2026-09-23 | Found in three of the four lists it counted |
| AllThings.How V0.98 table | S | 2026-09-23 | Republished third-party table: tentacle tracking, free-move stacking, combo potential |
The spread is unusually tight for this game. A is the consensus, TechWiser’s B is the single dissent, and the S comes from a third-party table that AllThings. How republished inside its V0.98 balance write-up, credited to a creator video rather than to the site’s own editors. That table justified the S with tentacle tracking, free-move stacking and combo potential, which answers a different question from raw PvE output.
Two caveats belong beside the table itself. ProGameGuides returned a Cloudflare block on every attempt to read the full article, so its A comes from search snippets and from another site’s vote tally rather than from the page, and we mark it as such. Beebom and ProGameGuides also hand out identical letters across all nine arts, which our ledger flags as a possible shared source rather than two independent confirmations. Every art compared side by side is in our blood demon arts tier list.
On version timeliness: the v0.110 patch does not mention Dream Manipulation at all. That patch covered block fixes and Thunder buffs, and no blood demon art received a balance change in it. If you find a page claiming a v0.110 Dream Manipulation balance adjustment, that page is wrong. The patch itself is logged in our update history.
Is Dream Manipulation better for solo farming or for PvP?
Both, depending on who you ask, and the split is the biggest disagreement about this art. Beebom calls it one of the strongest farming-focused demon arts and fantastic for solo PvE and dungeons. Six other outlets describe it as a control and setup pick that leans PvP and lands weaker in PvE.
Beebom’s case for farming is specific rather than vague. It lists stuns, barrages, sleep, area attacks and the Flesh Monster transformation, calls Flesh Barrage a tight ranged barrage, notes that Flesh Monster hits multiple enemies over a wide area, and points out that the tentacles fire tracking shots at moving NPCs. Read that list and the solo case is real: you can hold a lane, sleep a dangerous mob and let the monster work.
The other six outlets answer the same question differently. Destructoid writes that Dream is great for PvP and a bit less powerful for PvE. AllThings. How files it under duel-focused arts. games.gg calls it a control specialist that rewards anticipating movement. GrindNStrat labels the role control, setup and zoning, and names PvP with deliberate setup as its best use. slayers2-game.wiki rounds it out as a PvP setup artist.
The workable summary is that Dream is a control art that farms acceptably when you are the only one shaping the fight. Beebom’s own caveat is the one nobody repeats loudly enough: the area effects can make group farming annoying when you are not coordinating, and GameGeekFusion echoes that those wide effects get in the way in uncoordinated groups. If you farm with a fixed team, bring Dream as the control piece and let a wider art carry the damage. Our leveling guide covers where that pays off, and the bosses and raids guide covers the boss side.
How do you unlock Dream Manipulation?
You must be a demon first. That costs 40 reputation and a trip to Muzan, who is reported in Starter Village, Ice Village and Mist Village, and there is a quest chain to finish before the transformation is allowed. After that, the art itself comes either from a drop or from Muzan directly.
The demon route is the real gate, so budget for it. Muzan’s reported spawn points conflict between sources, and they conflict inside a single wiki: BloxInformer’s Shockwave page says Mist or Snow Village, while its Ice, Dream and Tamari pages say Starter, Ice and Mist. Night patrols and what you actually see on screen beat any fixed route, so do not hard-code a spawn point from a guide.
Once you are a demon there are two ways to the art. Farm chests and bosses until an orb drops, or ask Muzan for power and take the roll. The general chain most guides agree on runs Biwa Bell, then an Evil Art Orb, then a training quest, then Skill Tree mastery. If you later want out, Reset Evil Art sits in Shop, then Resets, and costs 2 Ores or 25 Robux: it clears the art and the Skill Tree progress attached to it without turning you back into a human.
What is missing matters just as much. We found no Dream-specific training quest, no material list and no mastery level gate for this art. BloxInformer’s unlock section is not usable for Dream either, because its Dream, Ice and Tamari pages all carry a heading that still reads How to Obtain Shockwave Blood Demon Art, a copy-paste artefact our ledger records. Becoming a demon in the first place is covered in our how to become a demon guide, and the mastery side is in the skill tree guide.
What are Dream Manipulation’s weaknesses in actual play?
Its core weakness is that the kit is placed rather than chased. Ordained Flesh and Piercing Flesh land where your cursor is, so an opponent who keeps moving unpredictably leaves your setup doing nothing, and a whiffed grab costs you the opening that mattered. GrindNStrat, Roonby and games.gg all describe that same failure mode.
Two further limits are worth knowing before you invest anything into the art. games.gg states that boss resistance to sleep and to grabs has not been fully evaluated, which means Dream’s strongest confirmed identity is PvP control rather than a guaranteed boss farming tool. The same source notes that sleep duration and the guaranteed follow-up are still being assessed, so a slept target is an opportunity rather than a promise. Destructoid adds that the art does not work as well in PvE, though it stays decent, and that its group control is limited.
One more claim circulates with a single source behind it: that direct damage is low and the art needs a follow-up to finish kills. We could trace that only to one aggregator, so treat it as something to test in your own runs rather than as a measured fact. Nothing in this section is a reason to skip the art; it is a reason to stop expecting a placed-control kit to behave like a burst kit.
Which clans fit a Dream Manipulation build?
Two clans show up repeatedly for this art: Douma and Shabana. Douma’s clone-return positioning lets you keep the plan you already committed to, and Shabana suits teams that coordinate around a shared buff zone. Roonby, GrindNStrat and games.gg all list Douma for Dream, and Roonby and GrindNStrat list Shabana.
Douma is the solo-friendly answer. Your whole game is placement, and clone-return positioning protects the plan you already paid for instead of forcing you to rebuild it when the fight moves. That matters more for Dream than for a kit that can simply chase.
Shabana is the team answer, and it lines up with the rest of this page: Dream becomes noticeably better when somebody else is deliberately playing around the space you create, and noticeably worse when three teammates flood the same ground. No source pairs Dream Manipulation with a specific weapon, and one site’s weapon-to-art table contains no Dream row at all, so any page telling you to bring a particular weapon with this art is inventing the link. Clan-wide rankings live in our clan tier list, and safe early picks are in the best clans for beginners guide.
What is this page based on?
This page is built from Community Verified sources: BloxInformer’s Dream Manipulation page, games.gg, GrindNStrat, Roonby and GameGeekFusion, all scraped on 2026-09-23, cross-checked against Beebom, Destructoid, AllThings. How, TechWiser, UrGameTips, slayers2-game.wiki and slayers2roblox.wiki for tier positions. Every move name here is a community record, not developer documentation.
That is the highest level of confidence available for this game, and it comes with limits you should know about:
- No official keybind chart, damage value, cooldown value, frame data or draw probability exists for any blood demon art, and this page carries none of them by design.
- Muzan’s spawn points conflict between two pages of the same wiki. Confirm them in game at night rather than trusting a route.
- Beebom’s solo-farm framing is a single source while six outlets describe the art as PvP-leaning. Both positions are reported above instead of being averaged into one.
- slayers2wiki.com’s three-move kit and its low-direct-damage claim are single-source and are not treated as usable.
- ProGameGuides blocked every attempt to read its article, so its tier placement comes from search snippets and a third-party vote tally rather than the page itself.
- BloxInformer’s unlock section for Dream is copy-pasted from its Shockwave page, so this page uses that site for moves and mechanics only, never for unlock details.
